Divine Direction

How do you make choices?

At times it’s so easy to get lost; to forget your promises to yourself; to lose track of your own good intentions, when interacting with others. It can be challenging to identify controlling behaviours (in yourself and others) before it’s too late. Sometimes people are so motivated by their own desires and beliefs that they (often unconsciously) attempt to bend others to their will. Such control may be overtly expressed which is easy enough to recognise, but at other times may be so subtle that it may go unnoticed.

The need to be in control is a very human tendency; we feel that if we can control the things and people around us that we will feel powerful, happier, and that life would be easier. But the truth is that there is very little that we can truly control! And the feeling of power that we may experience when we seek external control, will be short-lived (until something or someone more powerful than us comes along). Authentic power however, comes from controlling the things that we actually can: our own emotions, attitudes, behaviours, expectations, choices, and actions.

When another person attempts to lead you in a direction that does not feel right for you, it is your job to ensure that you do not say ‘Yes’ when your gut says ‘No’; when your intuition (your inner knowing) says that there is a better way - a way that honours your highest good. Your intuition is there to guide you and will never lead you astray. So the next time you have a decision or choice to make, take time to reflect; to go within and consult with your higher self; to seek Divine guidance. In this way you can take inspired action in every situation; you can act in a way that serves the highest good for yourself and others.

Nothing is too big or too small for you to seek Divine guidance on it. And you are always better off for it!

Have a most beautiful day, honouring your highest good in all of your choices and decisions.

Much love to you,

Yvette.
