Sunday Breakfast Anyone?

When was the last time you treated yourself to a truly satisfying Sunday breakfast? For me, Sunday morning breakfast is an event! I take the time to make myself something that I would not usually have the time for on weekdays. It’s one of the small ways in which I choose to honour myself.
When you honour yourself; when you take the time to do something special for yourself, that is self-love which, according to Whitney Houston, is the greatest love of all! So when you love yourself in small ways, you feel nurtured and that sends an important message to your body. By loving yourself in little ways, you can find wellness. You can, as I always say, love yourself into wellness.
Here’s a peep at my last Sunday breakfast treat…
Gluten-free Oat Waffles topped with bananas and whole milk plain yogurt, generously sprinkled with cinnamon, and drizzled with agave nectar. Pair that with a well-seasoned 2-egg omelet and a mug of piping hot latte coffee. Now if that isn’t loving me, then I don’t know what is!
After a breakfast like this I’m fit to take on that lounge chair and some brain-stimulating crossword puzzles. What better way to start a day of self-care!
It is my hope that not just on Sunday, but every day you will find at least 15 minutes that are dedicated to loving yourself in some special way; a time and space for you to give yourself something that you truly need. At the start of every day ask yourself "what can I do for you today? How can I nurture you today?" And then make that possible! Often it doesn't take much for your true SELF to feel loved and nurtured.
